Description
Short Song Description: If we are not careful, our freedoms can be taken away by "Authority" in the cause of "protecting our greater needs."
Long Song Description:
Story Behind the Song: This is a true protest song that I wrote while having my civil liberties unlawfully violated by the U.S. military authorities on Okinawa, Japan.
Because of this incident it became very clear how easy it is for those in authority to arrogantly and by direct threat to our livelihood deny us of our civil rights (even though their professional duty is to preserve our civil rights) and how difficult it is for ordinary people to speak out against this type of injustice. But in the end truth and justice always prevails if we have the courage to make The Stand.
